The Sawai Madhopur Wildlife Resort serves as an authentic base for the tourists who come over to the Ranthambhore National Park for a rich wildlife experience. The resort was earlier a hunting lodge for the erstwhile Kings of Jaipur. The resort was initially built by Sawai Man Singh II for his personal use.
Covering an area of 12 acres, the resort stands intact for the past 70 years now. It is just a 20 minutes drive from Ranthambhore.
The accommodation at the resort is very comfortable. The staff extends warm hospitality. There are 29 rooms in all out of which 17 are standard rooms, 10 are superior rooms and the rest 2 are luxury suites. Apart from these, there are 6 tents pitched in the beautifully landscaped garden. Facilities available in all rooms include telephone line and an attached bath with hot and cold running water.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served at the dining hall of the resort. Flavourful dishes from Indian and Continental cuisines are served to pamper your taste buds. Morning coffee and tea are provided in the rooms.
